When you're comfortable with the solution, press 'Start Predicting'. This will reveal one image of the cube before the solution is applied, with a second pair somewhere on the cube, along with 3 images below it. One of the images show correctly how the second pair ends up, while the others do not. Your goal is to identify which image is the correct one
Advanced Options
When enabled, generates all combinations with U, U2, U' before each algorithm
One algorithm per line. These will be used for pair tracking practice.
The format is "Slot - Algorithm".
Your slots are FR, FL, BL, and BR.
The algorithms must start and stop in the same orientation. If you include a wide move, slice move, or rotation such that it ends up in a different spot, please add a rotation to bring it back.
NB! The solution has to start and stop with the cross solved.
How to Use the Pair Predicter Trainer
Purpose
This trainer helps you practice pair prediction - the ability to visualize where the next F2L pair will end up after solving the current one. This is a crucial skill for advanced F2L and lookahead development.
Setup
Bottom/Front Colors: Choose your cube orientation. The trainer will show pairs from that perspective.
Pairs per round: Set how many predictions to practice per algorithm (1-999) before you move on to the next.
Advanced Options: Choose algorithm presets or create custom algorithm lists. Enable pre-AUF to practice with U, U2, U' moves. The default algset is the algs to solve the front-right pair.
How to Use
Click "Start" to load a random algorithm and pair configuration
Study the 3D cube showing the initial pair position and solution
Click "Start Predicting" to see the prediction challenge - this reveals one "Before" image and 3 candidates for where the next pair ends up.
Identify the correct "After" image by clicking on one of the three cards
Repeat for the number of rounds you set
Review your results at the end and see your accuracy score - You can play the solution on the 3D cube afterwards to see how the pieces move around.
Tips
Start with "3 Movers" or "Common Triggers" preset for basic algorithms, then progress to "All Front-Right pairs"
Focus on the pair pieces (corner + edge) and mentally execute the algorithm
Use "Give me another pair" before you start predicting to practice predicting for another first pair.
Enable pre-AUF in Advanced Options to practice with setup AUF before the algs
Try different cube orientations depending on your neutrality
Scoring
Your score is based on accuracy. Perfect predictions will give you the highest scores!
