Purpose

A fast-paced piece tracking game to improve your awareness of how the pieces move around. Track corners or edges through move sequences and mark where they end up.

Setup

• Type: Choose between tracking corners or edges
• Moves: Set sequence length (1-20 moves)
• Goal: Track the highlighted piece through the sequence, and mark where it ends up
• Note: You are looking at the top side of the cube

How to Play

1. Click "Start": Begin the tracking game
2. Look for yellow sticker: Note the highlighted piece position and orientation
3. Watch the sequence: Follow the piece through the move sequence
4. Click and drag to select: To mark the piece's final position, click down the top sticker, drag it to the side to mark a side sticker, and release the mouse button
5. Get feedback: See if you were correct - you get feedback if it was correct, in the correct position but wrong orientation, and if it was wrong
6. Continue: When you select a sticker, it generates a new scramble starting from the correct answer to the previous one, so if you answered incorrectly you can also see where it was supposed to go

Scoring

• Correct Position & Sticker: +1 point
• Correct Position, wrong sticker: +.5 points
• Wrong Answer: No points
• Goal: Build up your score and improve intuition!

Tips

• Practice both corners and edges
• Start with shorter sequences
• Practice visualizing cube rotations in your head
• Longer sequences also improves the "creativity" of how the pieces move, so don't hesitate to move on to them as you're improving
